Olympic swimming legend Ian Thorpe is set to reveal that he is gay in an interview with Michael Parkinson due to air in Australia on Sunday night.
The Sunday Telegraph reports that Thorpe will make the full admission during a sit-down, tell-all interview with the British TV personality.
In the lead-up to the highly anticipated interview on Network Ten, Thorpe was posed the question that has plagued his entire career - is he, or isn't he gay?

Suspected armed robbers arrested at Savannah Bank



Seven young men were arrested by a team of anti- robbery policemen attached to Area A Police Command, Lion Building, Lagos, while looting the properties of the distressed Savannah bank.
The incident occurred around 8.30am on Friday at the bank’s head office in Broad Street, Lagos Island.
The suspects who were all teenagers are – Ibrahim Luka, Kunle Malik, Sheriff Lawal, Tunde Basiru,  Arif Sarumi, Lukman Ojikutu and  Fidelis Joshua.
They were burgling the building before policemen swooped on them following a tip-off from angry residents.
“Distress call was received from Ikeja control room that some armed robbers were operating at Savannah Bank, Broad Street. The policemen stormed the area and these boys were arrested,” a police source said.

The Defence Headquarters is still counting the gains of the recent capture of Balmo Forest in Bauchi State from Boko Haram.
The military authorities said yesterday that  troops uncovered an underground armoury owned by the Islamic sect in the forest which  stretches from Bauchi to Jigawa and to the fringes of Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
Recovered from the armoury  were more than 80 General Purpose Machine Guns and  tubes of Rocket Propelled Grenades(RPGs).

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), at the Lagos state police command, Ikeja has arrested an Islamic cleric, Alfa Rilawan Saula accused of specializing in buying dead bodies especially that of  new born for onward sale to his clients. Also in police custody are two nurses Bolaji Fagbemi and Lasisi Olayinka who were alleged to be supplying newborns or unclaimed corpses from their hospital to Saula for a fee.

Woman sets self ablaze in Uganda

A 70 year old woman in Kamuli district is currently nursing serious wounds after she allegedly set herself ablaze on claims that she wanted to join her late husband who died ten years ago.
Ms Jane Takwemazayo, a resident of Busibiria LC1 Kamuli district allegedly gathered old jerry cans, beddings, her clothes on Tuesday and set them on fire before jumping into it. However, she was rescued by her neighbours.

Ikorodu road again: Police kill three, hoodlums block highway

Pandemonium is currently reigning at Thomas Bus stop, Ajegunle on Ikorodu Road as three young men are feared to have been shot dead by policemen from the Ajegunle Police Station.
It was learnt that the men were among some residents of the area, who were protesting against the killing of two young men in the same area by policemen on Friday.
